1. Eligibility

The UHB Research Hub is for staff, trainees and honorary members of University Hospitals Birmingham. Accounts must be registered with a UHB email or UHB ID and are personal to you — do not share credentials.

2. Acceptable use

• Only upload your own original work or work you have permission to share.
• Never upload patient-identifiable data (names, DOB, NHS numbers, hospital numbers, faces, unredacted scans, free text that could re-identify a patient).
• Respect copyright: for published articles, share the DOI or URL rather than the full PDF.
• Comments must be professional, respectful and free of confidential information.
• Do not attempt to access, probe or disrupt the platform outside its intended use.

3. NHS Information Governance

Use of this site is subject to the UHB Acceptable Use Policy, the NHS Confidentiality Code of Practice and the Data Protection Act 2018 / UK GDPR. Breaches may be reported to the trust's Information Governance team and can lead to disciplinary action.

4. Moderation

All uploads are reviewed by an administrator before publication. Content that breaches these terms may be edited or removed without notice. Repeated breaches may result in account suspension.

5. No medical advice

Content is shared for educational and academic purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes clinical advice or replaces official trust guidelines or the professional judgement of a registered clinician.

6. Liability

The site is provided on an "as-is" basis. UHB and the site maintainers accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on shared content. Users remain responsible for compliance with their professional and regulatory duties.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
