Accessibility Statement

Last updated: July 2026

We want everyone to be able to use the UHB Research Hub. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA, as required by the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML with clearly-labelled headings and landmarks.
  • Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, dialogs and cards.
  • NHS-blue theme with high-contrast text and focus indicators.
  • Responsive layout that works on mobile, tablet and desktop.
  • Form inputs with visible labels and clear error messages.

Known limitations

  • Uploaded PDFs and slide decks are not always screen-reader friendly — we rely on authors to submit accessible source files.
  • Some third-party components (rich text, notifications) may not fully meet AA at all times; we're improving these continuously.

Feedback

If you find something you can't use, please tell us via the Suggestions tab. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
